  12. This product consists of four CD-ROMs: Disc 1 (browser, multimedia
  13. materials) and Discs 2, 3 and 4 (digital video [DV] editing materials).

  25. Because the DV editing materials stored on Discs 2, 3 and 4 have a viewing angle
  26. of 720 x 480 pixels (9:6 aspect ratio), they will appear longer horizontally
  27. on a computer screen than in multimedia materials.

  57. How to use the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN browser ------------------

  59. [Starting up]
  60.  
  61. Insert the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN CD (Disc 1)  into the CD-ROM drive.
  62. Double click the "Vbrowser.exe" icon.
  63. * Set your display to 32000 colors or more before starting up.
  64. * If you change the display setting while using the browser, it may
  65.   cause disturbance on the screen.
  66. * QuickTime 3.0 is required.

  69. - Scroll
  70. Press the scroll button to scroll one or three lines at a time.
  71. Press the scroll bar to jump to a target line.
  72.  
  73. - Material selection
  74. Click on the material you want to use, and it will be surrounded by a yellow
  75. frame.  This is called "material selected."
  76. * The image shown on the material selection screen is a thumbnail image
  77.   displaying major frames for each material.

  79. - PLAY
  80. To play the movie, click PLAY when you are in the "material selected" mode
  81. or double-click the material.
  82. Select other materials to stop the playing.

  84. - STOP
  85. Click STOP to halt the playing of movies.

  88. Click TOP to move to the first movie frame.

  90. - REW
  91. Click REW to rewind the movie by one frame.  Set the LOOP mode to ON to jump
  92. from the first to the last frame.

  94. - FWD
  95. Click FWD to advance the movie by one frame.  Set the LOOP mode to ON to jump
  96. from the last to the first frame.

  99. Click END to move to the last movie frame.

  102. Click LOOP to set or reset the LOOP mode.
  103. Click PLAY when the LOOP mode is ON to replay the selected movie.
  104. Click LOOP again to reset the LOOP mode.

  107. The lapsed time for the material being played is displayed, in the order of hour,
  108. minute, second and frame number.

  110. - duration
  111. The playing time of the selected material is displayed.

  113. - ZOOM
  114. Click ZOOM to magnify the selected material to 320 x 240 pixels.
  115. Select some material and click the ZOOM key, and the screen will change to the
  116. zoom display mode and the first frame will be shown.
  117. Press the PLAY key to play the movie.  Click RETURN to go back to the material
  118. selection screen.
  119. * Because the data is stored in a high-resolution format, frame dropouts will occur
  120.   when the material is replayed with a browser.
  121. * Materials for DV editing (720 x 480 pixels) are stored on either Disc 2, 3 or 4.

  124. Select some material and click FIND, and multimedia materials (320 x 240 pixels)
  125. will be found on the CD-ROM and displayed in the window.

  127. * Materials for DV editing (720 x 480 pixels) are stored on either  Disc 2, 3 or 4.

  129. - SAVE
  130. Select some material and click SAVE, and multimedia materials (320 x 240 pixels)
  131. will be found on the CD-ROM and saved in a designated place as a file.

  134. Click QUIT to exit the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN browser.
